Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy (VVCA)

Varroc joined hands with the veteran cricketer, Mr. Dilip Vengsarkar to
start a cricket academy, Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy (VVCA), at
Thergaon, Pune in 2008. VVCA has an indoor cricket training facility
which is the 3rd in Maharashtra and 7th in India. The academy identifies
talents and sponsors their training for free. It also organises the ‘Varroc
Cup’ cricket tournament for various categories as under 14 and 16. Till
date, three players from the academy have been selected for the
Maharashtra state team.

It is the only competition organised on a large scale in Aurangabad for
the past 11 years where more than 40 schools participate. 16 best
players are shortlisted and sent to a 3-day training program at Varroc
Vengsarkar Cricket Academy, Pune.
Young talent

Young Talents

Varroc has been successfully sponsoring these young talents from the
fields of chess, pistol shooting and archery:
Tejaswini Sagar (international chess player): An emerging player who has
represented India in many tournaments.
Tanisha Boramanikar (international chess player): The only girl from
Marathwada to secure a place in the top 3 of National Chess Tournament
thrice.

Varroc Industrial Cricket Tournaments

Aimed at spreading fitness awareness among the working class, the
tournament draws more than 20 teams from industrial and non-industrial
sectors. It’s one of the most prestigious competitions in the Marathwada
region since 13 years.
